About Sunset Beach
Sunset Beach is the first beach in North Carolina as you make your way from Myrtle Beach, SC headed north. Being one of the southernmost barrier islands in the State, Sunset Beach boasts wide sandy beaches and good ole Southern hospitality. The island is approximately two and one half miles long and is bordered at each end by water inlets, Ocean Isle Beach being to the East, and Bird Island being to the West. The island is reached by traveling across the last pontoon bridge (see picture above) in North Carolina. If you are looking for a quiet, family oriented place to be, Sunset Beach is the place for you!
